Counselling & Coaching
Support to understand what is happening beneath the surface, recognise what is already strong within you, and find a way forward.
I offer counselling and coaching for individuals, couples and those wanting to explore their strengths, direction and potential.
Explore the options below to find the support that feels right for you.
Individual Counselling
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, low confidence, uncertainty about the future, or simply feeling stuck.
Individual counselling offers a supportive space to slow things down, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and begin to find a way forward.
I work alongside you at a pace that feels right for you, helping you understand what you are experiencing, recognise your strengths, and explore practical ways to support change and wellbeing.
If what you're experiencing isn't listed here, you're still welcome to get in touch to see whether I may be able to support you.
I can support you with:
Anxiety and worry
Stress and burnout
Grief and loss
Anticipatory Grief

Life transitions
Self-esteem and confidence
relationship challenges

Difficult childhood experiences
Personal growth and emotional well-being

Identity and sense of self
Considering separation

and other life challenges
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. I work collaboratively and tailor our sessions to you, drawing from different therapeutic approaches depending on what may be most helpful.
My approach is person-centred and tailored to you. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping), depending on what may be helpful for you.
I also use creative and practical tools such as small figures, visual resources and reflective exercises to help explore what may be difficult to put into words.
You don't need to know which approach you need — we can work that out together.
Couples Counselling
Relationships can bring great joy, but they can also leave us feeling hurt, disconnected or stuck in patterns that seem difficult to change.
Couples counselling offers a supportive space where both partners can feel heard and understood. Together, we slow things down and explore what sits beneath the conflict — the emotions, needs and experiences that influence how you connect and communicate.
I work gently and collaboratively, helping you understand the patterns between you, strengthen communication, rebuild connection and find new ways of responding to one another.
Every relationship is different. If what you're experiencing isn't listed here, you're welcome to get in touch to see whether couples counselling may be helpful.
I can support Couples with:
Communication difficulties
Feeling disconnected
Strengthening understanding and appreciation of one another
Recurring conflict
Rebuilding trust
Recovering after hurt or betrayal
Strengthening emotional connection
Intimacy
Navigating change together
Parenting challenges
Life transitions and changing roles
Considering separation or the future of the relationship
How I work with couples
I draw from attachment-based approaches and am informed by Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFcT), the Gottman Method and Imago Relationship Therapy.
Together, we can explore the patterns beneath conflict, strengthen communication and emotional connection, and develop new ways of understanding and responding to one another.

Confidentiality and feeling safe
Counselling is a confidential and respectful space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life.
As a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), I work within professional and ethical guidelines, including maintaining your privacy and confidentiality.
There are some limits to confidentiality. If I become concerned that you or someone else may be at serious risk of harm, I may need to involve additional support. Wherever possible, I will talk with you about my concerns first, and we will work together on what support may be needed.
